So many people say Kevin is so "lucky" to be able to spend time with all these lions. And I understand what they mean. It would be a dream come true. I love lions and I always have since I can remember. I also rescue feral cats myself. But, I am also very aware that these lions were not just handed to Kevin. He has made a lot of sacrifices and has worked very hard to protect and care for them. So, he deserves all the love and attention he gets from these lions and it was anything but luck. It was his compassion, lots of sacrifice, hard work and determination that put him in this position to reap the blessings. It comes with tears, too, sometimes. I know that as an animal rescuer myself.

I recently visited a small zoo and wept for the close confinement and boredom which made up these majestic animals surroundings. Hi I have a question about something i saw on Facebook. It's apparently a park where the Lions 'cuddle' tourists. There was a clip of two Lions a male and a female who charge toward the tourist car jumped in and started head bopping everyone. My initial responce was a mixture of 'aw thats nice' and 'Isn't that just bad for the Lions and one day bad for an unlucky tourist'. I saw no handelers or staff except for the driver. What are your thoughts?

I'm just posting here because this was the last video uploaded. Warning: the images are horrendous, nauseous, unbelievable that people are so married to making a buck they lose their humanity with an indelible black void where their soul used to be. It's not just Kevin which makes his sanctuary possible; it's due in large part to the major efforts of his wife and all employees and volunteers. These are pix of George and Yame as cubs days after rescue, and some photos at their horrible experience living at the park -- who btw said: it's not our fault; we weren't in charge of the lions. In one of their videos Kevin mentioned the film from cubs to kings and the only version I found was one in Russian, so I just dug around google a bit -- I'm still in covid quarantine; time creeps by -- the site is the daily mail, and they'll attach cookies if you click the link, so be sure and delete your history cache afterward. Just keep scrolling down, until the end -- but again, a very strong warning: there's a link to an organization with .org -- it's a photo of truth of canned hunting -- once you see it, you can't unsee it -- next time you go for an expensive coffee -- make some at home and donate that to any of the rescue facility and of course the KR Foundation. they are so tiny, and their bones around their heels -- on yame was the worst -- exposed. One was cowering by the side of a wall because they couldn't walk -- but then, fast forward with lots of good medical treatment and food and love, it's a remarkable difference. Then they're off on their long journey from spain to S. Africa to a life neither could have imagined. Kevin is a big fat liar when he calls them those two smelly little cubs -- he fell hard in love with them the second he saw their injured faces from rubbing up against the wires of their travel enclosure at the airport -- the people who were responsible for their rescue, and there were many, including the Spanish authorities, describe their final destination and home as the best place IN THE WORLD, and they were right. No one can save every abused animal, but what you CAN do is look around the sphere of your life -- these are financially difficult times for everyone, and if you see someone struggling to feed even their pets, just lug over some pet food with -- I thought you could probably use this -- and change the topic. My city has a wonderful seniors' pets program where the wonderful, wonderful SPCA which has now opened a well-check and spay/neuter clinic at extremely low cost, has established where seniors can bring their pets in for free vet care, and also get assistance with good, quality food, and if the senior is no longer able to get around to take the, for ex, dog for a walk, there are volunteer dog walkers, and volunteers who also will pick up the pet and owner if they have no transportation and take them to the clinic. One thing Kevin did say in the video was, a lesson learned from the cubs' rescue was to have a fighting spirit like George. George came very close to being put to sleep because his malnutrition was so bad and general physical condition, but he had an indominable spirit, even then, and they knew they had to do everything to give this little baby cubbie a chance at a good life -- and look at them now, two of daddy's babies !! @The Lion Whisperer I was wondering at the possibility of putting chains on your tires? I'm from Canada. A small town called Fort Erie, in the province of Ontario. In Canada tire chains are used for traction in the snow and ice. I was thinking that it may be a deterrent for Gabby's tire chewing. Costing you a fortune. Rubber would still be exposed. It might put enough chain at any angle between her teeth and the tire. If it worked it would be a great savings. Some extra traction on a day of heavy rain...which doesn't appear to happen often...lol. Love your Channel and the animals under your care. I'm 52, retired and I believe a young 52. I love animals and also drawing them. I enjoy writing also. If you ever were in need of a hand, please let me know. It would be my pleasure and my dream. Keep up the hard work.
