However, our corporate backed elected officials could not care less about the likes of this man or the well-being of these wonderful animals. As a direct result of the isolationist behaviors, shifting away from Coal Power, and the rampdown of industrial production here in U.S.A, we reduced our Greenhouse Gas Emissions by over 10%!! So loved the serenity of lock down level #4 here in New Zealand. Nature reclaimed the space we left almost instantly. The bird life more active and visible. The air cleaner. It showed that when we backed off the planet started too heal itself. If we could do global (maybe not at the same time for each country) 1-2 month lock downs each year that would offset climate change maybe enough that we could at least try too get too a break even point. I will not blame this virus arrival on how “we”, people like Kevin, people like many other westerners who try our best to improve our planet, treat our environment. This virus was caused by the Chinese government which oppresses its people to the point they have to eat wild animals to survive, a government with no regard for our planet, a government who possibly manipulated a deadly virus in a lab, unleashed it upon the world and lied and concealed information to avoid blame. That’s why we are where we are in 2020. Nobody wants to talk about it so they can continue selling their products in a country with billions of potential customers. That’s the reality. I think most Christians believe that this Virus is Gods hand coming down upon mankind, but this is just a gentle reminder that if we don't change our ways he is going to punish us more severely. This virus has not just impacted on peoples health it has attacked our false idols, the false idols of money, business, greed, worldly desires , sexual immorality, abortion and our turning our backs on God for these desires and acts of abomination. I believe this is just the beginning of Gods chastisement on mankind that has been forewarned by visionaries around the world. The message has been the same with all of them. God told them through Mary, mother of Jesus, that if we don't change our ways then Gods hand will fall upon us. Beautiful and true words but unfortunately I don't think people learned the lessons to be learned from 2020. I have been saying for years that the way humans treat animals/nature will come back to haunt us and when it finally happened I was not shocked. We treat this planet like it's an infinite resource when it's not. We all saw how parts of nature healed in the very short time that it wasn't touched by human hands...but a tiny bit of long-term effort to continue that is too much to ask for I guess.

No truer sentiments have ever been expressed... Yes - this year has been a sucker punch to all of us, but for every negative - there is a positive...and in this, mother nature is finally being seen, front and centre.
